Terms of service

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [ENTITY] ("WeekScribe", "we"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use WeekScribe for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

Accounts

You need a valid email address to sign in. Keep access to that inbox secure, because sign-in codes are sent there. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your organisation.

Trial and subscriptions

New organisations get a 14-day free trial with no card required. When it ends, the account becomes read-only and your data is kept until you subscribe or close the account.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider, Dodo Payments. Add-ons and credits are billed when you buy them. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights using the service;
• connect tools or data you are not authorised to access;
• attempt to probe, disrupt or overload the service, except through our vulnerability reporting process;
• resell or provide the service to third parties without our written agreement.

Your content

You own the data you connect, the templates you build and the reports you produce. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service. We handle personal data as described in our privacy policy and data processing agreement.

Connected services

When you connect a third-party tool, we access it on your behalf using the permissions you grant. Your use of that tool stays subject to its own terms. If a provider changes or withdraws its API, the related integration may stop working.

AI-generated drafts

Report drafts are written with the help of language models and can contain mistakes or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing what you send to your clients, including reports you schedule for automatic delivery.

Availability and changes

We work to keep WeekScribe available and may change features over time. If we remove something material to a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

Fees and taxes

Prices are shown on our website and in the dashboard. Prices exclude taxes unless stated, and you are responsible for applicable taxes. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, which applies from your next billing period.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or goes unpaid, with notice where practical. After closure, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

Disclaimers

Apart from what these terms state, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [COURT_CITY] have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use WeekScribe after that means you accept the new terms.
